Andrea is the mother of two precocious girls who teach her something new every day. She married her husband, Brad, on her favorite holiday – St. Patrick’s Day – so they could celebrate their union in a fantastic way with friends and family (and so Brad would never forget their anniversary). Before having their human children, Brad and Andrea had two boxers, Buster and Lily, their “first born” furry-babies.
In her free time, Andrea loves to read and listen to music. Usually, she is reading the latest thriller or crime novel because she can’t get enough of it at work. But, if the kids are in bed, she has a book in her hands, sometimes even when dishes or laundry need to be done. Jane Austen is a favorite, but so is John Grisham.
Andrea says, “Music can immediately change your mood," and insists music has even saved lives. When she thinks no one is listening (and even sometimes when people can hear her) she sings and dances along to her favorite tunes. We have all fallen victim to her rendition of everything from Paul Simon’s catalog to country and most recently The Greatest Showman soundtrack – this woman loves music.
A favorite destination for Andrea and her family are the white sand beaches of Destin, Florida. Brad and the girls hunt for crabs while Andrea soaks up the sun with a book in her hands. But, half of the fun is the cross-country drive they enjoy as a family every summer.
Andrea was born and raised in Tulsa, where her family has deep roots. Andrea’s parents have a long history in law as well as oil and gas. Andrea’s mom did a fantastic job raising her and her sister. They were raised believing in the value of hard work and persistence. Andrea’s sister and brother-in-law operate the Great Buffalo Pecan Farm, a local orchard of one of Oklahoma’s best-kept secrets, the Pecan Tree. An added bonus is that they provide us with a steady supply of pecans for holiday pies!
After high school, Andrea ventured to Texas for a change of scenery and a new adventure. She graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Southern Methodist University with Honors and Distinction in Literature and Business. After college she stayed in Dallas at SMU for law school, graduating in 2006 with her Juris Doctor.
Andrea served as an Assistant District Attorney from 2007 until 2018, originally specializing in Intimate Partner Violence. Andrea later focused exclusively on Crimes Against Children. After 12 years in government service, Andrea joins the Berlin Law Firm with a wealth of experience in criminal, domestic and child cases.
Andrea was regularly one of the top trial attorneys in the entire office and was recognized in 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017 as a "Top Gun" for trying the most felony jury trials. In 2018, Andrea won the award given to the attorney chosen by her peers as representing the best qualities of a trial attorney.
After over a decade of public service, Andrea chose to leave the District Attorney's Office to commit her experience, diligence, and skills to provide accused citizens the best possible defense. Andrea has been repeatedly recognized as being one of the toughest, fairest, and most hard-working attorneys at the courthouse.
